Travel To Morocco

Welcome to Morocco

If you’re joining us for PURE 2025, we look forward to welcoming you to the community.

To make sure that you’re fully prepared for travelling out to Morocco, have a read of the below travel information and allow plenty of time to arrange everything!

A reminder you are required to be in Marrakech for a minimum of four nights (Monday 8 September – Friday 12 September) to attend all the core show dates – so make sure your travel plans align with this.

TRAVELLING TO PURE

If you intend to get to Marrakech by plane, remember to book your flights in time for Open House, which starts on the morning of Monday 8 September 2025. Please note that the 2025 Community Project will take place early on the morning of Sunday 7, requiring you to arrive in Marrakech on Saturday 6 September. You can see the provisional agenda for PURE 2025 here.

VISAS & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

It’s your responsibility to get all your travel documents prepared for PURE, including visas, visa letters and any other entry requirements. Make sure you check that you can be granted a visa at the nearest consulate or embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco as soon as possible. Allow a long lead-time – we recommend at least 40 days.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is recommended, and don’t forget to check for exclusions, and ensure that your policy covers you for any of the activities you want to get involved in during your trip.

TAXIS

If you’re planning on using taxis, here are a few tips to remember:

  • A taxi from the airport to the Medina should be no more than MAD 200
  • The average cost of a ride within the city is around MAD 50 and should cost no more than MAD 60
  • Taxis to Palais Namaskar or further afield will cost around MAD 150
  • A 50% rise is expected for night drives, while luggage also incurs an additional charge
  • All taxis should be equipped with a working counter – remember to ask the drivers to put it on before accepting the ride. If their counter doesn’t work, which is often the case, you should agree on a price before embarking on your journey; otherwise you might find it considerably more expensive once you arrive at your destination!
  • ‘Small taxis’, contrary to ‘big taxis’, cannot take you outside of Marrakech and are limited to three passengers
