Day by day itinerary:
Day 1: Flight from Marrakech to Fes and Evening Tour of Fes
Your adventure begins with a transfer from your accommodation in Marrakech to the airport, where you will board your flight to Fes. As you leave the vibrant energy of Marrakech behind, prepare to enter one of Morocco’s most enchanting and historically rich cities. Upon arrival in Fes, you’ll check into your hotel to refresh and unwind before setting off on your evening tour. Your local guide and driver will then escort you through the charming night-time allure of the city.
Your first stop will be Mount Zalagh, which offers a panoramic view of Fes and the surrounding valley from a breathtaking altitude of 3,000 feet. Here, you’ll be invited into a traditional countryside home, where you can savor a Moroccan high tea ceremony while taking in the stunning sunset over the city. This serene moment will be the perfect introduction to Fes, offering you a glimpse of its beauty from above.
As the sun dips behind the hills, you will drive into the heart of the old city for a delightful evening walking tour. As night falls, Fes takes on a whole new character, with the city coming to life as locals emerge for evening strolls, shopping, and socializing. You’ll wander through the vibrant Talaa Lakbira street, filled with street vendors, bustling markets, and cozy cafes. You’ll pause at Bab Boujloud, the iconic blue gate of Fes, where a horse-drawn carriage will take you deeper into the medina, to explore the winding alleys of Fez El Jedid. The tour will conclude with a relaxing ride back to your residence, where you can reflect on the sights and sounds of Fes by night.

Day 2: Full-Day Tour of Fes
Prepare for a full day of exploration in one of Morocco’s most captivating cities. Fes, founded in the 9th century, is the oldest royal city in Morocco and the most complete medieval city in the Arab world. Today, you’ll delve deep into the city’s rich history and culture as you embark on a guided tour through the Fes el Bali, the oldest part of the city.
You’ll begin by wandering through bustling food markets, where the colors and scents of spices, herbs, and fresh produce fill the air. You’ll see artisan workshops where traditional crafts such as pottery, leatherwork, and metalwork are still carried out using age-old techniques. You’ll pass communal bakeries, visit pre-schools, and walk past fountains and mosques that have stood for centuries. The famous tanneries will be one of the highlights, where you can watch artisans work with leather in the same way they have for generations.
Your tour will include a stop at the Museum of Nejjarine, dedicated to the art of woodwork and cabinet-making, housed in a stunning 18th-century building. You’ll also visit the 14th-century Medersa Bou Inania, a theological school where you can marvel at intricate Islamic architecture. From here, you’ll take in the sight of the University of al-Qarawiyyin from the outside, the oldest continuously operating degree-granting university in the world, founded in 857.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Royal Palace, a magnificent late-19th-century structure that was once the summer residence of King Hassan. The palace’s central garden and the Museum of Fes Traditional Arts, housed within its walls, provide a fascinating look at Moroccan history and craftsmanship. Afterward, you’ll continue to Fes El Jedid (New Fes), where you’ll explore the former Jewish Quarter, established after the migration of Jews from Spain in the 15th century. Here, you’ll visit one of the city’s 17th-century synagogues and wander through the local jewelry market.
Day 3: Fes to Casablanca with Half-Day Visit of Casablanca
This morning, you will depart Fes and head toward Morocco’s modern and vibrant city, Casablanca. Upon arrival, you can enjoy lunch (optional, at your own arrangement) before you embark on a half-day tour of this dynamic city, which blends a rich history with a contemporary cosmopolitan vibe.
Your first stop will be the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and an architectural masterpiece. Perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, the mosque’s stunning minaret rises 210 meters, making it the tallest in the world. You’ll take a guided tour of the mosque, exploring its beautifully intricate interiors, grand prayer hall, and breathtaking oceanfront views.
Afterward, you’ll take a stroll through the city’s Art Deco district, admiring the beautiful facades and intricate details of buildings from the 1930s, before visiting the impressive Notre-Dame de Lourdes, a stunning Catholic church with striking modernist design.
