NETWORK ON THE TRAIL
There’s so much to take your breath away on a trip like this. But that’ll still leave you with plenty to talk about… Establish your first connections for our week together, and see where they take you.
Each year, on the Sunday before PURE, we step beyond conversation into action. The Community Project Hike is our chance to see – firsthand – the work Travel Link Foundation (TLF) is delivering for communities in the Atlas Mountains, thanks to your support.
In 2026, we return with the same purpose. A new trail. A deeper connection. Join us as we head to Tadart Ait Bousaid, a village of 120 families set over 3,000 feet up in the Iguer Ferouan Valley. Here, TLF has been restoring the local school and improving irrigation systems for year-round farming. Together, 150 PUREists will walk the land, meet the community, and see the impact up close.
Choose from two guided hikes — shorter or longer — into the heart of the village. Share a Berber breakfast. Learn about daily life. Plant prickly pear cacti, one of the region’s most resilient crops.
If you’ve hiked with us before, you know the rhythm: breathtaking views, meaningful encounters, and the occasional surprise. A reminder that travel can (and should) leave places stronger.
Here’s the plan
– Meet at the Palais des Congres for 7:30am.
– Mingle with fellow mavericks over coffee before we leave Marrakech.
– Split into groups for tailored hiking routes through the Atlas Mountain foothills.
– Enjoy a Berber breakfast in Tadart Ait Bousaid.
– Tour and learn more about the village development projects led by our partners at Travel Link Foundation.
– Take part in cacti planting, dancing, and activities with the villagers.
– Return to the Palais around 1pm.
