Estancia & Bodega Colomé | Argentina

A REMOTE HIGH-ALTITUDE ADVENTURE: A JOURNEY TO COLOMÉ

Discover a four-day, three-night journey crafted exclusively for PURE 2026 at Estancia & Bodega Colomé, an intimate retreat set amid the dramatic remote high-altitude landscapes of Salta’s Calchaquí Valley. Your stay weaves together exploration, a long history of winemaking, contemporary art, community connection, and refined comfort, all anchored in Colomé’s longstanding commitment to sustainability and the local community.

Arriving via a spectacular drive through twisting mountain passes, vast plateaus dotted with giant cardon cacti and roaming guanacos, and tiny adobe hamlets, you reach Finca Colomé, a secluded 39,000-hectare private nature reserve that feels worlds away. Here, your base is a 9-room boutique Estancia with private terraces and fireplaces, designed for slow, quiet living between daytime adventures and star-filled nights.

Throughout your stay, you will trace nearly two centuries of winemaking, from a guided visit of the contemporary winery to a private tasting in Argentina’s oldest adobe bodega, founded in 1831, where high-altitude wines and rare parcels take center stage. The estate’s deep artistic soul reveals itself in the James Turrell Museum, a one-of-a-kind space dedicated entirely to his work, where skyspaces and light installations invite you into an immersive dialogue between color, perception, and space.
Colomé’s sense of place extends beyond the Estancia gates: visit the local village to see the church, community center, and multi-sport and events hall that reflect a shared, long-term investment in local quality of life. On the farm, hydropower, sustainable viticulture and agriculture are not abstract concepts but visible daily practices that support both the vineyards and the community.

Between structured experiences, you can shape each day to your own rhythm: relax by the pool, work out in the gym, play boccia in the gardens, partake in a guided hike to pre-Columbian ruins and cave paintings, ride horseback through the vineyards, or get busy with an empanada making class before a farm-to-table dinner paired with estate wines. As darkness falls, the unpolluted Andean sky becomes a private observatory, revealing an astonishing canopy of stars that frames your final glass of wine.

Estancia Colomé offers an understated luxury, sense-of-place gastronomy, and meaningful cultural encounters—an invitation to experience one of Argentina’s most remote but also renown wine estates in a way that feels both exclusive and deeply connected.
